Course Description:
This unit describes the competencies required in Installing computer software. It involves Identification of software to be installed, installation of the software, configuration of the software, software testing, user training and software maintenance.
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify software to be installed.
- Install the software.
- Configure the software.
- Test software functionality.
- Perform user training.
- Perform software maintenance.
Assessment.
Students will be expected to do assessments in order to be considered competent for this course. Assessment administration will be as follows.
- Two C.A.T(s) each 30 marks.
- Group assignments.
- Practical work for individual.
- One summative assessment 70 marks.
Course requirements.
Students are required to be having the following.
A functional digital device and with internet connection.
